With two years remaining until the 2026 World Cup, FIFA has officially announced the tournament's main sponsor, and one of football's most legendary players has starred in the promotional campaign.

Details: The main sponsor of the 2026 World Cup will be the popular snack brand, Lay’s. In addition, Lay’s will also sponsor the 2027 Women's World Cup.

FIFA has also released a teaser for a Lay’s commercial featuring the reigning World Cup champion, Lionel Messi, who is currently playing in the United States for Inter Miami.

Reminder: The 2026 World Cup will be the first to take place in three countries: the USA, Mexico, and Canada. The tournament is set to open on June 11, 2026, and will run until July 19.

Additionally, the 2026 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams instead of the previous 32.
