The recent UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich (2-2) was marked by several controversial decisions from Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg.

In the second half of the match, Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes handled the ball inside the penalty area after a pass from David Raya. However, the referee did not react to this incident, deeming it non-penalizable.

This incident greatly angered Thomas Tuchel, particularly his dissatisfaction with Niberg's explanation.

"I know it is a crazy situation but they put the ball down, he whistles, he gives the ball and the defender takes the ball in his hand. "What makes us really angry is the explanation on the field. He told our players that it is a 'kid's mistake' and he will not give a penalty like this in a quarterfinal. This is a horrible, horrible explanation. He is judging handballs. Kid's mistake, adult's mistake. Whatever. We feel angry because it is a huge decision against us", said Tuchel at the press conference.

The second leg between Bayern Munich and Arsenal will take place in Munich next Wednesday, April 17.
