The US swimming team set a world record to win gold in the women's 4x100 medley relay at the Olympics.
The American swimmers finished with a time of 3:49.63 in the final race. The American team was represented by Regan Smith, Lilly King, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske.
The silver medal went to the swimmers from Australia with a time of 3:53.11. China secured the bronze medal with a time of 3:53.23.
Additionally, the 24-year-old American swimmer Robert Finke set a world record to win Olympic gold in the men's 1500m freestyle.
