Urgent! One of Liverpool’s key players set to leave the club
Liverpool endured a far from consistent season, and another major setback has now emerged — one of the club’s key players is set to leave Anfield.
Details: According to journalist Ben Jacobs, central defender Ibrahima Konaté will leave Liverpool FC as a free agent. The player himself had previously assured that a contract extension would be agreed, but no negotiations ultimately took place, paving the way for his departure.
Konaté joined the English side in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of €41 million. He made his Premier League debut on September 18 in a match against Crystal Palace FC.
Meanwhile, the management of Inter Milan are in talks with Liverpool over the potential transfer of 25-year-old midfielder Curtis Jones.
Reminder: Tottenham Hotspur FC managed to sign a Liverpool veteran after Juventus FC failed to hijack the deal.
