Unexpected. Manchester United legend bets on Arsenal in the new EPL season

Manchester United and England legend Paul Scholes has predicted the champion for the upcoming Premier League season.

According to the iconic midfielder, Arsenal is the favorite to win the title in the forthcoming campaign.

"I think the Premier League favorites will be the same as last year, I think City will be the frontrunners, closely followed by Arsenal. I've said it a few times already that I expect Arsenal to be the team to win it this year.

They've progressed over the last couple of years, especially under Mikel Arteta, and I just feel that this year they're ready to win. It won't be easy, there will be a lot of competition. We know that seven or eight of the top teams in England are very good, but I just think that this year Arsenal will be the team that breaks City's cycle," Scholes said.

Earlier, we reported that Arsenal's sporting director made an intriguing statement regarding the team's transfers.

On Saturday, August 17, the Gunners will kick off the season with a Premier League opening match against Wolves.
