Unexpected: Manchester City star Rodri attends Super Bowl

Manchester City midfielder Rodri made a surprise appearance at the Super Bowl, taking advantage of his recovery time from an injury suffered back in September, Daily Mail reports.

The Spaniard not only watched the clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs but also spoke to Sky Sports, providing an update on his rehabilitation.

"Well, I always say, it's part of life. Injuries, athletes are used to these kind of things. But I'm a very positive guy in the sense that I take it what it is. I always thank God for everything and in these kind of moments try and be positive. And maybe do other stuff that I'm not used to doing, like coming here, spending more time with your family," Rodri explained.

City have struggled without their midfield general, who also won the Ballon d’Or last autumn. Since his absence, the team has experienced a dip in form, falling to fifth place in the Premier League table and barely advancing to the Champions League knockout stage.

Looking ahead, Manchester City will soon face Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16, a crucial matchup for Pep Guardiola’s side.
