Unexpected! Man City star close to joining another Premier League club
Jack Grealish has suddenly emerged as the subject of another intriguing Premier League transfer move.
Details: According to The Athletic, Sunderland have submitted an offer to sign Manchester City winger Jack Grealish. The Black Cats are proposing a loan deal for the 30-year-old, with Manchester City covering part of the player's salary.
The proposed agreement could also include a route towards a permanent transfer. Grealish's current contract with Manchester City expires next summer, and Sunderland would have the possibility of keeping the English winger beyond the initial loan spell.
At the same time, Sunderland are not focusing exclusively on Grealish. The club are also pursuing Igor Paixao in parallel as they look to reinforce their attacking options before the transfer window closes. At this stage, however, the report only confirms that an offer has been submitted for Grealish, with no final agreement between the clubs announced.
It is worth noting that Grealish's Manchester City contract runs until June 30, 2027. Transfermarkt currently values the 30-year-old left winger at €20 million.
