UEFA has imposed a severe punishment on the young talent.

Details: Gianluca Prestiani has been officially suspended for six matches. The disciplinary action comes as a result of homophobic insults made by the player.

According to official reports, three of the six-match ban are suspended. Prestiani has already served one match of the suspension.

This means he still has to miss two more games. Importantly, he must serve these suspensions exclusively in UEFA competitions or while representing the Argentina national team in FIFA-sanctioned tournaments.

As a result, he may miss the World Cup.

Recall: Real Madrid lost Aurélien Tchouaméni ahead of their clash with Betis.
