On Wednesday, January 29, the UEFA Champions League league stage concluded. With all eighth-round matches completed, the full list of teams advancing to the knockout stage is now confirmed.
Draw format
For the draw, eight bowls will be prepared, each containing balls with the names of seeded and unseeded teams. Teams ranked 9th to 16th are seeded, while those ranked 17th to 24th are unseeded. The pairings will be determined based on their final positions in the league stage.
For example, Celtic and Manchester City, who finished 21st and 22nd, will face one of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, who placed 11th and 12th. The winners of these matchups will then face the teams ranked fifth and sixth in the tournament standings in the Round of 16.
