On Wednesday, January 29, the final matches of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 league stage were played. Following these games, all teams advancing to the knockout rounds have been confirmed.
Additionally, after the conclusion of the eighth round, the potential matchups for the playoff round have been determined.
Under the new format, the top eight teams advance directly to the round of 16, while teams ranked 9th to 24th compete in the preliminary playoff round. The current potential pairings are as follows:
- Atalanta/Borussia vs. Sporting/Brugge
- Real/Bayern vs. Celtic/Man City
- Milan/PSV vs. Juventus/Feyenoord
- PSG/Benfica vs. Monaco/Brest
