It's reported that Liverpool highly value Szoboszlai's progress and view him as a potential successor to Van Dijk as club captain. The club's management have offered him a new, longer and more lucrative contract, but the player is in no rush to put pen to paper.
Szoboszlai joined Liverpool in 2023 from Leipzig for €70 million. Since then, Dominik has established himself as a true leader at Anfield. This season, Szoboszlai has made 29 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 5 assists.
Szoboszlai's current contract with Liverpool runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €85 million.
