The reason revealed. Juventus put talks on hold over Chiesa's return

Juventus' interest in bringing Federico Chiesa back from Liverpool has cooled significantly for now. Negotiations have been paused due to growing concerns about the transfer fee and the impact on the squad balance for the Turin club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the process has slowed down considerably, with both parties effectively entering a ‘cold period’. Still, the door remains open for a potential Chiesa comeback, and Juventus continue to monitor the transfer market closely.

The main stumbling block is financial. Liverpool are demanding strong guarantees, whether for a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy. Moreover, Chiesa’s salary would be a major expense for a club that has already invested in Kenan Yildiz.
