TRIUMPHANT!! Arthur Zwane's AmaZulu boosts top four hopes with a 5-1 thumping of Chippa United in a PSL match at Moses Mabhida Stadium this afternoon

Arthur Zwane’s AmaZulu compounded Chippa United’s relegation woes with a 5-1 thumping this afternoon.

Athini Maqokola netted a brace in this Betway Premiership match at Moses Mabhida with Thapelo Matlhoko, Sphamandla Zikhali and Thabiso Kutumela also getting on the score-sheet.

It was a dream start for Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium with Azola Matrose netting a screamer against Olwethu Mzimela in the first half.

But it seemed as though the Chilli Boys relaxed after this goal as they allowed Usuthu to come back into the game.

The victory sees AmaZulu maintain their push for a decent finish as they are now on 42 points on fourth place with four less than Kaizer Chiefs who are on the third spot.

For them to finish on the third place would be to expect Kaizer Chiefs to lose ground as the season end draws closer.

Things are not as rosy for Chippa United as they continue to live for another day in the bottom half of the table.

They remain on the 13th place with 24 points.
