Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz is on the verge of leaving the ‘Pharmacists’, and it looks like the move could happen very soon.

Details: According to Sky Sports, the German club has granted Manchester City permission to enter into negotiations with the 22-year-old midfielder. Yesterday, Wirtz and his family flew to England to hold talks, and the two clubs have already reached an agreement on the transfer.

Moreover, Manchester City feel they are in a stronger position, believing that Bayer would prefer to sell Wirtz to them rather than to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, despite recent rumors that the midfielder would rather stay in Germany.

The ‘Rekordmeister’ are also pushing hard to secure the transfer and are hoping to snatch the midfielder away from Manchester City. However, Wirtz still has to make his final decision.

Reminder: This season, Wirtz has scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists in 44 appearances for Bayer.
