Nottingham Forest are on the verge of pulling off one of the most intriguing moves as the transfer window draws to a close. The Tricky Trees have reached a full agreement with Manchester City for the permanent transfer of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
Renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Ortega’s contract will run for five months, with the shot-stopper set to undergo his medical today, January 31.
It’s worth noting that the 33-year-old Ortega made a name for himself at the Etihad as one of the Premier League’s top backup goalkeepers. However, his situation became more complicated following Manchester City's squad decisions—after the arrival of James Trafford, the German found himself as only Pep Guardiola’s third-choice option.
