Manchester City failed to hold onto their lead against Tottenham, despite going into halftime 2-0 up. In the second half, Spurs clawed their way back, but one of the goals sparked heated debate and controversy.

After the match, Josep Guardiola discussed the incident, subtly hinting at a refereeing mistake: "If a central defender does [that] to a striker, it's a penalty, right?" Despite the draw, the Spaniard expressed satisfaction with his team's performance and insisted that Manchester City remain determined to fight for the title until the very end.
