Manchester City failed to hold on to their lead in the Premier League Matchweek 24 clash against Tottenham. The Citizens struck twice in the first half, but after the break, Spurs fought back to level the score.

Tottenham's first goal came under highly controversial circumstances. Inside the box, Dominic Solanke outmaneuvered Khusanov and fired towards goal in a challenge with Guehi. Replays clearly show the last touch came off the Manchester City defender, making it an own goal.

Freeze-frames show that Solanke never touched the ball, instead catching Guehi's leg. The incident is shrouded in controversy and could spark a scandal, as match referee Jones had every reason to disallow the goal for a foul in the build-up. Nonetheless, the goal stood, and VAR officials apparently did not spot any infringement.
