Nottingham Forrest's dire current financial state, which has already resulted in minus four points in the Premier League standings, could force the Foresters to stage a player sale in the summer.

So, two feuding Premier League clubs are battling it out for a Nottingham Forrest player, and according to Football Insider, Arsenal are losing out to Tottenham in the race for midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Spurs have reportedly been tracking the 24-year-old attacking player for two years when he was still representing Wolverhampton and have been impressed with his progress and performances. Gibbs-White is thought to be the perfect fit in Ange Postecoglou's squad.

It remains to be seen how much Nottingham Forrest will ask for their player, but the Foresters paid in the region of £25million for the midfielder, excluding bonuses, to Wolverhampton in 2022.
