Brazil could lock horns with the runners-up of the last World Cup in a high-profile friendly match.

Details: According to Canal+, if the French national team qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, "Les Bleus" are set to play a friendly against Brazil on March 28 next year.

The clash is expected to take place in Boston, just a few months before the start of the global tournament, which will be held in North America.

The last time these two powerhouses met in a friendly was back in 2015, when the Seleção emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline. Their most recent official encounter dates to the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where France edged out Brazil thanks to a decisive goal by Thierry Henry.

Reminder: Ethan Mbappé may switch his sporting nationality to Algerian.
