Brazilian club Corinthians has approached their star player Memphis Depay with a request to leave the lavish hotel suite he currently occupies and find more modest accommodation.
Details: According to UOL Esporte, the club pays around $46,000 per month for the player's apartment, in addition to covering all his extra expenses.
This amount includes the services of a chef, butler, personal security, and a chauffeur with an armored car. On top of that, the club pays for food, cleaning, and room service, making the forward’s stay extremely costly for Corinthians.
The club’s management understands that Depay is unlikely to agree to move, since such conditions are stipulated in his contract. The player has no intention of giving up his accustomed level of comfort.
Nevertheless, Corinthians will try to renegotiate the terms of the agreement and persuade the striker to cut down on expenses.
Reminder: Memphis Depay was accused of abandoning a pregnant woman after getting her pregnant.
