“Told my wife: turn on YNWA!”. Italian star does not hide his emotions about the move to Liverpool

Italian national team winger Federico Chiesa commented on his transfer to Liverpool from Juventus.

"I just want to say what was stuck in my mind when I was about to land on the plane. I saw Anfield, and as soon as I saw Anfield, I told my wife: ‘Turn on the song YNWA!’ I wanted to imagine myself there, hearing the fans chanting.

I told my father Enrico about Liverpool's offer... he immediately said, ‘GO FOR IT.’ He is sure that it's the best choice for my career," Chiesa said.

The "Reds" paid €12 million for the Italian forward. Chiesa signed a four-year contract with the club.

Over four seasons at Juventus, Chiesa scored 32 goals and provided 23 assists in 131 matches. However, the new head coach of Juventus, Thiago Motta, stated in a press conference that he does not see Federico as part of his project.
