OFFICIAL. Liverpool have announced the transfer of the Juventus star

Winger Federico Chiesa has officially left Juventus to embark on a new chapter in the Premier League.

Liverpool has announced the signing of Chiesa, with the Reds paying €12 million for the Italian forward. He has signed a four-year contract with the club.

Previously, Barcelona had shown interest in Chiesa, but they withdrew from the deal due to financial constraints.

Chiesa is Liverpool's first major summer signing. Earlier, the club secured goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, but he will only join the Merseyside team in the summer of 2025, spending this season on loan at his current club.

During his four seasons at Juventus, Chiesa recorded 32 goals and 23 assists in 131 appearances. However, the new Juventus head coach, Thiago Motta, mentioned in a press conference that he did not see Chiesa as part of his project.
