The future world champions will go down in history not only for lifting the trophy.

Details: FIFA has officially announced that, for the first time ever, the winners of the 2026 World Cup will be presented with special championship rings—a prize that’s instantly recognizable to fans of American sports.

A total of 2,026 rings will be produced, commemorating the year of the tournament. Of these, 30 are reserved for the champion team, while the remaining 1,996 will go on sale as officially licensed merchandise, available to fans across the globe.

One side of each ring will feature the World Cup trophy, while the design on the reverse will be customized with the symbols of the champion national team. Every ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately after the final whistle, the captain and head coach of the winning side will be presented with temporary rings. All 30 personalized rings will be crafted and officially handed over to the champions at a later date.

It’s worth noting that the recipients of these unique rings will be determined on July 19, in the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.

Reminder: Official. Referee appointed for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
