His performance attracted interest from numerous top clubs, and he eventually joined AS Roma. After three goalless appearances in Serie A, the Ukrainian finally opened his scoring account.

Details: In the fourth round of Serie A, Roma traveled to face Genoa. Dovbyk, who had yet to find the net in Italy, broke his drought in the first half of the match.

In the 43rd minute, he found himself in the right place at the right time amidst a scramble in the penalty area and slotted the ball home from close range. Initially, the referee disallowed the goal for offside, but after a VAR review, the decision was overturned, and the goal was awarded.
