The transfer saga surrounding La Liga's top striker and Girona player, Artem Dovbyk, has officially concluded.
Roma has announced the signing of the Ukrainian forward. Dovbyk will don the number 11 jersey for the Wolves. Additionally, Artem is the first Ukrainian footballer in Roma's history.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Girona will receive €34 million for their striker. Dovbyk was eager to join Roma and will sign a five-year contract.
It is worth noting that Roma recently struggled to meet Girona's financial demands. The Roman club was willing to offer €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses, while the Catalan club demanded €35 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
Atlético Madrid were also interested in Dovbyk, but the Ukrainian's representative Oleksiy Lyundovskyy said in a commentary to the Ukrainian media that the Colchoneros did not provide good financial terms.
