The standout defender is prepared to leave Bayer for Europe's top clubs
The leading defender of Bayer Leverkusen, Jonathan Tah, may depart the club this summer or when his contract expires in 2025.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tah's agent, Pini Zahavi, is in talks with potential new clubs. The defender himself is willing to leave Leverkusen but only for a move to one of Europe's top 10 clubs.
While Bayer wishes to retain the defender, they are prepared to consider offers starting from €20 million for the player.
It was previously reported that Bayern Munich has shown interest in the center-back and has held preliminary discussions with the player.
Tah, 28, has been with Bayer since 2015, when the club paid Hamburg almost €10 million for his transfer. In the current season, he has played 40 matches across all competitions and scored six goals, establishing himself as one of the top defenders in the Bundesliga.
Earlier reports indicated that Bayern Munich's Xabi Alonso intends to lure the Real Madrid defender to Bayer.
