Bayern Munich is aiming to sign 28-year-old center-back Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, there have been negotiations between the management of the Munich club and the player. While the player has many options for his future, Bayern has a chance for success as Tah is open to career changes this upcoming summer.

However, there are no agreements at this stage. Bayer Leverkusen wants to retain their key player. They aim to extend his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

Tah, 28, has been playing for Bayer Leverkusen since 2015 when the pharmaceutical club paid almost 10 million euros to Hamburg for his transfer. In the current season, one of the leading defenders in the Bundesliga has played 40 matches in all competitions and scored six goals.

Earlier reports indicated that one of the candidates for the Bayern Munich coaching position confirmed connections with the Munich club.
