One of the contenders for the Bayern coaching job has confirmed links with the Munich club

Lately, a host of coaches have been linked with the Bayern job following the departure of Thomas Tuchel. But, Julian Nagelsmann remained with the German national team, while Unai Emery extended his contract with Aston Villa. The circle of candidates at the "recordmeister" narrowed, which prompted Munich to turn to not the most obvious option.

Earlier it was reported that Bayern are in talks with Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick, who confirmed this information:

"Bayern have contacted me and I have also informed the Austrian Football Association. We have a very trusting relationship. My focus is on the Austrian national team. We are fully focused on the European Championship. I feel very comfortable here. At the moment, I have no reason to be intensively and purposefully engaged in this matter".

The specialist also revealed what will motivate him to work more intensively on a move to Bayern:

"The moment when the Bavarians say: we want you. And then I have to ask myself: do I even want it?", - said Rangnick in a conversation with the Austrian portal 90minuten.
