The son of the legendary Eto'o scored his debut goal at adult level in his first match for Rayo
Rayo Vallecano, the club from the Madrid suburbs, triumphed with a resounding 5-0 win against Deportivo Villamuriel in the Copa del Rey's Round of 64.
A particularly memorable moment from the match came when Etienne Eto'o, son of legendary forward Samuel Eto'o, scored his first senior-level goal. The 22-year-old Cameroonian forward netted the fifth and final goal of the game.
Etienne Eto'o joined Rayo Vallecano from Union Collado this summer, and today marked his first appearance for the senior team in the Spanish Cup under manager Iñigo Pérez. His debut couldn’t have been more perfect, as he found the back of the net shortly after being subbed on.
For context, Samuel Eto'o was one of world football’s top scorers during his tenure with Barcelona from 2004 to 2009, securing numerous trophies and personal accolades.
