The sensation came at a great price. European giants are interested in Girona players
Last season, Girona delivered a spectacular performance. The modest Catalan club spent most of the season competing with Real Madrid for the top spot, ultimately finishing third in La Liga, behind only Los Blancos and Barcelona.
These phenomenal results have attracted interest from many top clubs in their players. Girona has already lost Savio and Yan Couto, who returned to Manchester City, Artem Dovbyk, now playing for Roma, and Alexis García, who moved to Leverkusen, among others. However, it seems the exodus of talent from the team is not over yet.
According to *Mundo Deportivo*, Borussia Dortmund is interested in acquiring Girona defender Miguel Gutiérrez. The German club has already been in contact with the Catalans to discuss preliminary terms of the transfer.
Additionally, as reported by Matteo Moretto, Napoli is considering the purchase of midfielder Iván Martín. He showcased excellent football last season alongside players who have since left the team and could soon join them. It is reported that his contract includes a buyout clause worth €12 million.
Both players played the full 90 minutes during Girona's debut match of the new La Liga season against Real Betis.
