The president of the country intervened in the situation with the beating of a judge in Turkey

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan did not ignore the attack on referee Halil Umut Meler.

As you know, the referee was attacked after the domestic championship match between Ankaragucu and Rizespor (1:1).

According to Turkish media, the head of state personally called the judge and wished him a speedy recovery.

At the same time, the Turkish Football Federation decided to suspend matches in all leagues in the country after the referee was beaten by the president of the Ankaragucu club. As for the culprit of the incident, he said after a while that he wanted to spit in the judge’s face, but did not intend to hit him.

After the incident, the club president was arrested by police.
