The National Hockey League has announced the best players of the past season across various categories.

The Vezina Trophy for the best goaltender was awarded to Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck, who secured 37 wins in 60 games. The best defenseman title went to Vancouver's Quinn Hughes, who amassed 92 points in 82 games.

The best rookie was Chicago's forward Connor Bedard, who scored 22 goals and 61 points in 68 games in his debut season. The best head coach was Rick Tocchet from Vancouver. The title of the best defensive forward was claimed by Florida's captain Aleksander Barkov.

The Hart Trophy for the league's most valuable player went to Colorado's forward Nathan MacKinnon, who also received the Ted Lindsay Award for the best player as voted by his peers. MacKinnon tallied 140 points in 82 games last season.

Additionally, the best player of the playoffs was Edmonton Oilers' forward Connor McDavid. The Stanley Cup was won by the Florida Panthers.
