FIFA has appointed Maurizio Marianni to referee this Group K match at the World Cup, which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo will face Colombia on 24 June in their second group stage match of the World Cup. This second match is crucial for the Leopards, who are looking to make their mark on their return to the world stage after a 52-year absence.
Following their hard-fought draw against Portugal, Sébastien Desabre’s side will be keen to secure a positive result against Colombia. For this match, which kicks off at 2 am GMT, FIFA has appointed a trio of Italian referees. Maurizio Marianni will be the referee, whilst his compatriots Daniele Bindoni and Alberto Tegoni will be his assistants. Juan Calderon and Juan Mora will be the fourth and fifth officials respectively.
