The head coach of Germany provided an update on the condition of a key defender

Germany's key defender Antonio Rüdiger sustained an injury in the final group stage match, casting doubt on his participation in the next game.

As head coach Julian Nagelsmann revealed, Antonio trained today and looked in good shape. However, they need to wait and see how he responds overnight. If all goes well, Rüdiger will be able to play in the Round of 16 match. Nagelsmann emphasized that Antonio is crucial for the team.

The team's doctors are doing everything possible to ensure Rüdiger is ready for the game, and he is expected to return to training by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, another center-back, Jonathan Tah, will miss the playoff match due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Nico Schlotterbeck is likely to start in his place. If Rüdiger is also unavailable, Waldemar Anton or Robin Koch will replace him.
