The Germany national team coach explained why he did not call up the Bayern Munich winger
The German national team will play two UEFA Nations League matches in September. According to journalist Kerry Howe, head coach Julian Nagelsmann did not include Leroy Sané in the squad.
The German specialist explained this decision by noting that the player needs to continue his recovery from injury and regain full fitness. Nagelsmann has spoken with Sané, who will return to Bayern Munich to train with the club. He will use the international break to reach optimal form.
It is worth mentioning that during the UEFA Euro 2024, Bayern Munich and Germany winger Leroy Sané suffered a groin injury. He underwent surgery in early July. However, he has already resumed training with the team.
So far, he has not played in the current season and missed the first Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg.
It is worth recalling that the Bundesteam and Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané sustained an injury and had to leave the field at halftime, yielding his place to Florian Wirtz, during the first half of a match.
During Euro 2024, Leroy participated in all five matches for the German national team but did not register any goals or assists.
