The English club has found a replacement for the coach who left for Bayern Munich
In May, Premier League club Burnley had to part ways with their coach Vincent Kompany. The Belgian specialist moved to Bayern Munich.
Since then, Burnley began searching for a replacement and has now made their decision. The club has officially confirmed the signing of former Fulham and Bournemouth manager Scott Parker.
According to The Guardian, the contract is for three years, with the main task being to bring the team back to the Premier League. It is worth recalling that Burnley was relegated to the Championship at the end of last season after spending just one season in the top tier of English football.
Parker expressed his excitement about returning to work and leading Burnley.
“I am very happy to be here. I have been talking with Burnley for some time, and it’s a positive moment as I now have a real sense of the people at the club.
Being at the training ground, you start to feel that excitement again, and I look forward to getting out on the training field and starting to work.”
Scott Parker has been out of work since March of last year, when he left Belgian side Club Brugge. He began his coaching career in 2017, working with Tottenham's youth team before moving on to Fulham and Bournemouth. It was with these English clubs that he achieved success, guiding them back to the Premier League.
