The EFL Cup semi-final pairings have been decided

Immediately after the quarter-final matches of the EFL Cup, the drawing for the semi-final pairs took place.

It has been revealed that the following teams will face each other in the semi-final matches:

Middlesbrough - Chelsea

Liverpool - Fulham

The games will take place on 9 and 10 January, and the return matches on 23 or 24 January.

To recap, on December 19th and 20th, the quarter-final matches of the EFL Cup took place. Chelsea defeated Newcastle in a penalty shootout, Fulham also advanced to the penalty shootout after a draw and overcame Everton, while Middlesbrough dominated Port Vale with a 3-0 victory. Liverpool became the last semi-finalist, winning 5-1 against West Ham.
