Curtis Jones, assisted by Nunes, scored the second goal in the game.

Liverpool continued to have the upper hand and kept creating scoring opportunities near West Ham's goal. In the 71st minute, Cody Gakpo scored the third goal for the hosts. Six minutes later, the "Hammers" responded with a goal from Jarrod Bowen. However, Liverpool scored twice more in two minutes, with Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones sealing the match.

Liverpool crushes the opponent and becomes the last fourth semifinalist in the EFL Cup. They join Chelsea, Fulham, and Middlesbrough.
