Bayern Munich's director, Max Eberl, revealed the timeline for appointing a new head coach at the club.

The top executive confirms that a decision on the new head coach won't be made until after the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Bayern's board hopes to finalize a deal with the new manager by the end of next week, which would be the beginning of May.

Earlier, Bayern Munich's president, Uli Hoeness, confirmed the club's negotiations with Ralf Rangnick.

It has been reported that Bayern does not view Rangnick as an interim coach and plans to sign a contract with him until the summer of 2026, with the possibility of extending it for another season.

This season, Bayern Munich lost the Bundesliga title race to Bayer. In the Champions League, the Munich side has reached the semi-finals, where they will face Real Madrid.
