The president of Bayern Munich confirmed the club's negotiations with Rangnick

Recently, Bayern Munich has been linked with the head coach of the Austrian national team, Ralph Rangnick.

As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the president of the Munich club indeed confirmed negotiations with the Austrian specialist. Uli Hoeness stated that a decision will be made within a week at the club.

It's worth noting that Bayern has already reached an agreement with the Austrian Football Federation regarding compensation for the coach's transition, whose contract expires in two years.

It was previously known that Bayern does not consider Rangnick as an interim coach and plans to sign a contract with him until the summer of 2026, with the option of extension for another season.

This season, Bayern lost the Bundesliga title race to Bayer Leverkusen. In the Champions League, the Munich team reached the semifinals and will face Real Madrid.

Under Rangnick's guidance, the Austrian national team has qualified for Euro 2024, where they will play in a group against Poland, the Netherlands, and France.
