On the night of Tuesday, April 16th, the Edmonton Oilers played a regular-season match against the San Jose Sharks.

In this game, the Oilers triumphed over the Sharks with a score of 9-2. The leader and captain of the Oilers, Connor McDavid, scored a goal and provided one assist. This marks the Canadian star's one hundredth assist of the current season, making Connor the first hockey player in the 21st century to achieve this milestone. The last time one hundred assists were achieved in a season was by Wayne Gretzky in 1991.

Overall, in NHL history, only three players have accomplished this feat: Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr.

It is worth noting that the winner of the National Hockey League's regular season has already been determined. By the way, the general manager of the Arizona Coyotes, Bill Armstrong, flew to Edmonton to announce to his players the possibility of the team relocating to the neighboring state of Utah, specifically to the city of Salt Lake City.

Also, the Dailysports team has prepared a list of teams that have already secured their place in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
