Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scores a brace as AmaZulu beat TS Galaxy 3-2 in a thrilling Betway Premiership encounter at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium

Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya netted a brace for AmaZulu as they beat TS Galaxy 3-2 in the Betway Premiership match at Moses Mabhida Stadium today.

Usuthu had to come from behind twice against Galaxy who scored through Victor Letsoalo and Junior Zindonga in the second half.

Ngwenya netted twice with the other goal coming from Mondli Mbanjwa via Ngwenya assist.

The Zimbabwean striker was impressive in Durban as the victory saw Arthur Zwane’s side cling to the fourth spot on the PSL standings.

Usuthu, like fellow PSL side Sekhukhune United, see themselves as dark horses of this season’s PSL title and this win cements their effort to keep up with table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

They are just two points behind Sundowns with 27 points while Sundowns have two more. Third placed Kaizer Chiefs also have 27 points.

So AmaZulu are just waiting for the sides above them to slip up so they can take advantage of such a slip ups.

Next weekend they face Marumo Gallants away from home.
