Thabiso Monyane expects Kaizer Chiefs to face a tough Siwelele FC side this evening in their Betway Premiership match.

Monyane’s Chiefs are fighting for the third spot finish on the PSL standings as inconsistent results saw them lose grip on the title race midway through the campaign.

They are currently on third spot with 47 points – five more than fourth placed AmaZulu – who are also looking at finishing on a Caf Confederation Cup spot.

“We are not expecting an easy game and do not underestimate any opponents; we go out there and give it our best every time,” said Monyane ahead of the tie against Siwelele who are on the 11th spot.

“We have just played the derby, but this is an equally important game. We have analysed Siwelele and have planned accordingly, and now we must go and execute it well again.

“We are in the final stretch of the season, and it’s important for us to keep going. We have some good momentum going at the moment, the team is doing well; we are in a good space, spirits are high, without getting carried away.”

The game starts at 7.30pm at the Toyota Stadium.
