Barcelona is set to receive a significant boost: one of their captains, Marc-André ter Stegen, is gearing up for a comeback. The goalkeeper hasn’t played a single minute this season following summer back surgery, but according to Football Espana, he’s already in the final stage of recovery.
He is expected to be given the green light to play against Osasuna next weekend. However, Barcelona is already preparing for a winter farewell, as under Hansi Flick’s hierarchy, the German is clearly behind Joan García.
Reports suggest the player’s agent is in talks with several clubs considering a loan move for the second half of the season. Ter Stegen himself understands he needs regular playing time to secure a starting spot with the German national team for the upcoming World Cup.
