Taiwo Awoniyi Scores 20th Premier League Goal as Nottingham Forest Lead Chelsea 2-0

Taiwo Awoniyi scored his 20th Premier League goal on his 100th appearance as Nottingham Forest took an early lead against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

Awoniyi opened the scoring just two minutes in, heading in a cross from Dilane Bakwa past Robert Sánchez. The goal moves him level with Victor Moses as joint 10th highest Nigerian scorer in Premier League history.

Igor Jesus later converted a penalty after Awoniyi was fouled by Malo Gusto, giving Forest a 2-0 lead as the first half reached the 30-minute mark.
