Such a thing hasn't happened in over 100 years. Tottenham matches historic anti-record and faces real relegation threat
London’s Tottenham is enduring one of the most challenging seasons in its storied history. In Matchweek 31, Igor Tudor’s squad suffered a crushing 0-3 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.
This loss marks just the third time in club history that the Spurs have lost at home by three or more goals to a team that started the day in 17th place or lower. Previously, this had only happened in October 2013 against West Ham (0-3) and in August 1998 versus Sheffield Wednesday (0-3).
The team’s overall season stats look equally alarming. After 31 matchweeks, Tottenham has collected just 30 points—matching the club’s worst-ever tally at this stage of a top-flight campaign. The only other time this occurred was back in the 1914/15 season.

As a result, Tottenham finds itself in a deep crisis, with the current situation only increasing the pressure on the coaching staff and club management as the season’s end approaches. With seven matches left, the Spurs are just one point clear of the relegation zone.
