During the international break, Emega gave an interview in which he admitted that when he signed his contract with Strasbourg, he thought it was a German club and believed he would be playing in the Bundesliga.
The club reacted extremely negatively to these remarks, given the city's history and its location right on the German border.
After a meeting between Emega, club management, and the head coach, it was decided to suspend him for one match.
Emega has already issued an apology to the fans, promising to work even harder on the pitch to make amends.
Emmanuel Emega has already signed a contract with Chelsea in London and will join the club in 2026.
