Still the best! Lionel Messi included in the 2025 MLS Best XI

The MLS season is drawing to a close.

Details: On the official MLS page on social network X, a post was published naming the 11 best players of the outgoing 2025 season.

As expected, 38-year-old Inter Miami midfielder Lionel Messi made the list, having netted 29 goals in the first half of the season.

Goalkeeper:

• Dane St. Clair (Minnesota United);

Defenders:

• Tristan Blackmon (Vancouver Whitecaps).
• Alex Freeman (Orlando City).
• Jakob Glesnes (Philadelphia Union).
• Kai Wagner (Philadelphia Union).

Midfielders:

• Sebastian Berhalter (Vancouver Whitecaps).
• Evander (Cincinnati).
• Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders).

Forwards:

• Denis Bouanga (Los Angeles).
• Anders Dreyer (San Diego).
• Lionel Messi (Inter Miami).

Messi joined Inter Miami in 2023 and since then has played 84 matches, scoring 74 goals and providing 37 assists.
