Sporting centre-back Ousmane Diomande's contract includes a €80m pay-off, and club bosses assured head coach Ruben Amorim back in January that the player would not be sold for less than that amount. But it seems that things have not gone according to the plan of the Portuguese team managers.

There are clubs who are willing to pay €60 million for Diomande and some bonuses like Arsenal London and according to a report by Record, Sporting are willing to accept that amount and let the player go. It is believed that the centre-back's days in Lisbon are already numbered, and he is one of the main contenders to leave Portugal already in the upcoming transfer window.

Chelsea were previously thought to be one of the main contenders to buy the 20-year-old, but Arsenal have recently stepped up with the move and are now reportedly in possession of the palm to get Diomande.
