Details: According to Opta, Erling Haaland is playing his 50th match in the UEFA Champions League and has already netted his 51st goal in the competition. No player before him has reached such a tally in so few games. Haaland now holds the record for the most goals scored in the first 50 matches of the Champions League.
For the record, in the third minute a Manchester City defender fouled Vinícius, and the referee initially pointed to the spot, giving the hosts a penalty. But after a VAR review, the decision was overturned.
Reminder: Real winger Vinícius fired a low cross from the flank into the heart of the penalty area, but the ball was blocked by a Manchester City defender and struck his arm.
